Here’s how SONR Music works with different types of content:
- Audible & Podcasts: SONR Music does not support content protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management), which includes most Audible audiobooks and some podcast platforms. However, if you have podcast files in supported formats without DRM, you can upload them directly to the device.
- Streaming Services (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.): SONR Music does not allow direct downloads from streaming platforms. These services typically do not allow transferring music files outside their apps. SONR Music can play music via Bluetooth above water (for running, cycling, etc.), but for underwater use, files must be uploaded manually.
- YouTube: You cannot directly load YouTube content onto SONR Music. If you have legally downloaded audio from YouTube (converted into a supported file format), it can be uploaded manually.
