Can SONR Coach be used for Springboarding?

Modified on Tue, 16 Sep at 3:42 PM

Although the SONR Coach system was originally designed for swimming, it can also be adapted for use in springboarding/springboard diving.

Receiving Range

  • Up to 1 meter underwater with reliable performance.

  • Up to 300 meters above water with stable connection.

  • At depths beyond 3 meters underwater, the signal may weaken or be lost.

Depth Limitations

  • At 5 meters deep, the water pressure may cause the receiver’s button to be pressed automatically, which can turn the device OFF.

  • This will not damage the device, once the diver returns to the surface, it can be turned back ON manually.

? Usage Tips for Divers

  • We recommend wearing the receiver on the back of the head, secured under the swim cap, to minimize impact risk and improve durability.

  • Always test the device in shallow dives first before moving to greater depths.

Recommendation

If you are considering SONR Coach for springboarding, we suggest starting with a Dual Receiver Pack to test performance in your specific environment. Based on your experience, you can then decide whether the system meets your training needs.
