Files are not recognised on SONR Music

Modified on Fri, 25 Jul at 6:16 PM

If your SONR Music device is not recognising the music files, here are a few things to check:

  1. Supported File Format

    Make sure your audio files are in MP2, MP3, FLAC, or M4A formats.
    Please note that upon request, we can also add support for WMA, AAC, WAV, APE, AIF, AIFC, and MP4.
  1.  Proper File Transfer

    When adding files to the SONR Music device:
  • Connect it via USB to your computer.
  • Open the device folder (it should appear like a flash drive).
  • Copy MP3 files directly into the main directory (not inside any folders).
  • Safely eject the device before unplugging it.
  1. File Names & Characters

    Avoid special characters (like é, &, %, etc.) in file names, as they may cause issues with playback.
  1. Reformat

    If the issue persists, you can reformat the device using your computer (FAT32 format), then reload your MP3 files.

If none of these steps help, feel free to send us at infomusic@sonr.pro a few details:

  • What type of computer/OS you’re using;
  • Whether the files work on other devices;
  • A sample of a file (if possible).
